Thank you for your interest in this website. Protecting your personal data matters to us. Below we inform you about the processing of personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting & delivery

This website is hosted by a provider in Germany (dogado GmbH). DNS is managed via Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When the site is accessed, technically necessary data is processed (see server log files). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable provision (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Server log files

When you visit the site, information is automatically collected that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time, file requested, data volume transferred, referrer URL and browser/operating-system identifier. This data serves technical security and stability and is not merged with other data sources. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Cookies & local storage

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Only one technical entry in local storage is used to remember your acknowledgement of the notice banner. Embedded third-party content (see below) may set its own cookies once activated.

5. Web analytics with Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Cookies or comparable technologies may be used to analyse how the website is used. The IP address is processed in anonymised form.

This only takes place with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Until you consent, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent for analytics purposes (Google “Consent Mode v2”). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting the local storage entry “tk_consent” in your browser and reloading the page.

Data may be transferred to Google in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More: policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Contact & input forms

The site contains several forms (incl. “Logbook”, “Letterbox”, “Private Access” and “Press contact”). On submission, your e-mail program opens or the data is sent by e-mail to tk@thomaskramer.com and stored there to process your request. In the “Logbook” you may voluntarily submit text, photos or videos; publication only occurs after manual approval. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. Data is deleted once no longer required.

7. AI dialogue

An optional AI dialogue is available on the Logbook page. The messages you enter are transmitted to the service provider Anthropic (PBC, USA) to generate a response. Please do not enter sensitive personal data there. Use is voluntary; legal basis is your input and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

8. YouTube videos

Videos are embedded in extended privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and only load after your active click. Provider is Google Ireland Ltd. Only on playback may data be transferred to Google/YouTube (including to the USA). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

9. Fonts (Google Fonts)

For consistent presentation, fonts from Google (Google Fonts) are embedded. Your IP address may be transmitted to Google. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

10. Transfer to third countries

For some services (Cloudflare, Anthropic, Google/YouTube) processing may take place in the USA. These providers rely on appropriate safeguards such as EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

11. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). Please contact the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
