Noted as one of the world’s largest glass-block towers, 404 remains “the most photographed building” in Miami Beach. The glorious structure measures eight-stories tall and sits a block wide. It is illuminated with a multi-colored lighting system that could be programmed to change colors continuously.
[imagebrowser id=7]The property is conveniently located in South Beach and bordered by Fifth Street, Washington Avenue, Fourth Street and Euclid Avenue. Itoffers tremendous visibility and easy access from Fifth Street, the main entry from the City of Miami to South Beach. Moreover, it sits only 10 minutes from downtown Miami and 20 minutes from Miami International Airport.
Many local developers and bankers laughed at TK’s idea for Class A office space on Miami Beach. Undaunted, TK forged ahead and started construction of the first new office space in this area.
All had been shocked, except TK, when the building had been fully leased before construction was completed. One of the first to reserve space was the world-renowned China Grill restaurant. Over a decade later, the building is still a landmark and China Grill still operates.
404 Washington Avenue was yet another successful TK project that was completed and sold to private investors.
