In 1992 TK purchased and then refurbished thischarming sixteen-unit apartment building constructed in 1925. He and the Portofino Group later celebratedits grand opening in 1993. TK’s fresh changes to the South Pointe area produced immediate occupancy.

As a result, surrounding buildings followed suit and “cleaned up”. Renters soon clamored to the area and converted it into the trendiest location of the beach..

After years of ownership, TK sold this building to benefit the people and City of Miami Beach for Section 8 housing.
